If you’d like to improve your muscle mass, then you should do less reps, but lift a greater amount of weight. Start with a specific muscle group of your choice, such as your chest. Do a warm-up set by lifting weights that are easy to lift. A weight that allows you to perform 15 to 20 repetitions is about right. When you move to your next set, choose a weight level at which you are able to do no more than 6-8 repetitions. Add on another five pounds, then complete a third repetition.

If you are looking to strengthen your legs, try wall sits. Start by selecting an area of empty wall space that will accommodate your body in motion. Maintain a distance of a foot and a half, turned away from the wall. With your knees bent, lean back till your back is flat against the wall. Keep bending your knees to the point that your thighs appear parallel with the ground in a sitting position. You will want to stay like this for as much time as you can.

Take on any exercises you don’t like head on. It is probable that the reason you do not like the exercise is because you are not good at it. Add those difficult exercises to your regular routine and work hard to overcome them.
